Reduced carbohydrate intake

According to the English-language edition of the Russian newspaper “Pravda”, one of the main reasons for the good physical shape of many Russians lies in the low intake of carbohydrates. Along with all its benefits, a low-carb diet will also lower your blood pressure.

The low-carbohydrate diet is a typical Soviet-era diet and is even used in the Air Force to maintain good physical condition. Low carbohydrate intake is compensated by increased protein intake. It is said that the results of the low carb intake start to be seen after the first one to two weeks.

A low-carbohydrate diet gives good results, but scientists advise not to stick to it for too long a period of time, because the body may become deficient in certain nutrients. However, if after losing weight you start to eat as before, the result will not be late and the pounds will gradually return.

Moderation

Eating often and in small portions is a good solution for maintaining good physical shape. Losing too many kilos or losing weight quickly gives short-term results, leads to a weakening of the immune system, to water loss and dehydration, as well as to problems with the nutritional taste system. In Russia, and not only, the secret of a good body is the consumption of fewer carbohydrates in everyday life, increased intake of fish and other seafood, small portions of vegetables with each meal and, above all, lots of physical exercise.

Strength training

Strength training is held in much higher esteem in Russia than in other countries and is among the most preferred ways by most Russians to keep in good shape. Strength training builds a healthy heart, stable musculature, and promotes fat loss on a low carb diet.
