An American scientist has created a virus that threatens humanity with destruction

A new experiment by an American scientist threatens humanity with destruction. The researcher who previously “recreated” the Spanish flu of 1918 announced his intention to start work on creating a special resistant strain of the H1N1 virus in laboratory conditions.

The professor of virology from the University of Wisconsin, USA, plans to make the virus resistant to the antibodies of the human immune system. In this way, Doctor Yoshihiro Kawaoki will revive the strain of pandemic flu, which caused the death of 50 million people worldwide, 80 thousand deaths from this disease were also registered in our country.

There are also data that in the period between 1918-19 worldwide, about 100 million people died from the Spanish flu /about 5% of the world population at that time/, and about 1/5 were infected, i.e. about 400 million people.

There were no effective means of combating this disease and those infected experienced great suffering. Initial symptoms were fatigue, fever and headache.

At this stage, one could still hold out hope that everything will pass and it’s just plain tiredness and a migraine attack. In the later stages, the virus caused hemorrhaging inside the lungs, sometimes so severe that a person could choke on his own blood. Besides, sometimes the disease proceeded without any symptoms.

The conduct of the experiment was criticized by scientists and doctors. Some of them claim that the provocative research could put human life under threat, making humanity helpless in the fight against the powerful virus.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that the virus that caused a pandemic in 2009-10 has undergone changes and has not yet become the common flu virus that affects people in all countries around the world. .

Dr. Kawaoki during the experiment will bring the virus to its pre-pandemic form. This will be done in order to monitor the changes that have occurred to the virus over 4 years.

The professor believes that his research can help in the search for a perfect vaccine against influenza, that is, against all varieties of influenza viruses, which is precisely why Kawaoka will make the virus invincible: “Through the selection of immune-resistant strains in the laboratory, we were able to identify the key fragments of the DNA of the virus that make it precisely that /that is, resistant to the immune system/”.

The virologist also notes that his research has already been completed and the results will be published very soon.

Scientists who watched Kawaoki’s presentation said the professor selected strains resistant to antibodies and repeated the process until he failed to produce a virus that would be impossible to eradicate.

The question of the need to study the H1N1 virus was raised at the closed scientific meeting earlier this year. The virologist shocked everyone who listened to his report.

Nevertheless, the professor was provided with the state-of-the-art laboratories of the Influenza Virus Research Institute in Madison to conduct the experiment.

Kawaoki does not respond to the attacks from his colleagues, he keeps repeating that his research is important to modern society and the new vaccine developed thanks to the virus research will help save thousands, if not tens thousands of lives.
