How to get rid of bad thoughts and anxiety

Most of our problems are the result of our thoughts, decisions and actions.

How to get rid of the bad thoughts and worries that cause these problems?

Many of the problems originate from ourselves, from our thinking. They are not the result of any events, lack of luck, other people’s actions.

And they arise because of our bad mental habits. If you free yourself from these forms of behavior – you will immediately get rid of many problems caused by each of them.

1. Don’t jump to conclusions

This habit can complicate your life in 2 ways. First, we think we know what will happen, so we turn off our attention and start acting on that assumption.

Most people uselessly try to pretend to be prophets. Most of their assumptions are wrong, and therefore their actions are wrong.

On the other hand, most of us imagine that we can read minds and seem to know why other people do what they do or what they think. And this is again deeply untrue and fundamentally wrong. It is this stupidity that destroys relationships like nothing else.

2. Don’t Dramatize

Many people turn even small setbacks into life-threatening accidents and react accordingly. The habit of making an elephant out of the fly creates anxiety that should not arise at all. Why do so many people do this?

Different psychologists have different opinions – perhaps because one feels more important that way. In any case, it is as stupid as it is harmful.

3. Don’t make up rules

A huge amount of all those “shoulds” and “musts” that maybe drive you crazy at times are probably completely useless. All we get from them is nervousness and guilt.

Why? By following these imaginary rules, we engage our minds with unnecessary obstacles. And if we try to impose these rules on other people, we will become a frightening or self-righteous fanatic.

4. Avoid stereotypes and labels

The words you use can affect the quality of your life. Negative talk and criticism also creates a negative way of thinking.

By trying to categorize the things that happen to you, you limit your thinking and make it absolutely useless.

5. Don’t be a perfectionist

Life is not just “black” and “white” or “all” or “nothing”. In most cases, “enough” means just enough. If you’re going to look for the perfect job, you’re more likely to never find it.

And any other job will seem worse than it really is. If you are looking for the perfect partner, you will most likely remain single and have no offspring.

Perfectionism is a mental illness that prevents you from enjoying life and will always force you to look for what you don’t have.

6. Don’t generalize

1-2 failures – not yet a sign of permanent failure. And accidental triumph does not make you a genius. A single event – good or bad, and even 2-3 such events are not always a sign of the formation of a certain trend.

7. Don’t take things to heart

Most people, even your friends and colleagues, don’t talk, think or care about you 99% of the time. The ups and downs of life, the warmth and indifference of other people have no personal relation to you.
