4 natural ways to treat impotence

According to a recent European study, just over half of all men suffer from erectile dysfunction or impotence. About 40% of men over the age of 40 are trying to overcome the oppressive their self-esteem‘s state. And for 70-year-olds, this ratio reaches 70.

2. Dehydroepiandrosterone /DHEA/

The natural hormone synthesized by the adrenal glands /DHEA/ can be converted into estrogen and testosterone in the body. The scientists produced the hormone naturally from wild sweet potato and soy.

Results from a European study showed that men with ED were more likely to have decreased levels of DHEA. 40 men participated in another scientific study conducted in 1999, in which half of them received 50 mg. from the hormone in the form of a food supplement.

The other half took a placebo pill once a day for 6 months. The likelihood that men who took DHEA would get and maintain an erection increased many times over.

3. L-arginine

The amino acid, which is naturally available in the body, supports the function of nitric oxide, which relaxes the blood vessels and thus actually makes it easier to get and maintain an erection.

In 1999, scientists who conducted a study of men with ED. In 31% of those who took 5 grams of L-arginine per day, a significant improvement in sexual function was observed.

Another study conducted in 2003 showed that when taking L-arginine /1.7 g/day/in combination with pycnogenol – a plant product extracted from the bark of the European Pinia pine tree /40 mg, 2 to 3 times a day/ erectile function was restored in up to 80% of the participants and in up to 92.5% after 3 months.

4. Acupuncture

Although the results of the studies are mixed, the positive results of the application of acupuncture for the treatment of impotence have been widely described. For example, in an analysis of the results of a study conducted in 1999 ., acupuncture was found to improve erections and restore sexual activity in 39% of the men who took part in the study.
