What is flatulence?

An adult produces about 2 liters of gas in the intestines, part of which is excreted through the rectum, and the rest is absorbed back into the body.

Flatulence is a condition in which a large amount of gas is trapped in the loops of the small intestine, sometimes accompanied by bloating and pain.

The most common causes of gas formation are:
