Does it lose weight just because of a good night’s sleep?

How you feel when you wake up says a lot about how you slept and how you will spend your day. Here are ten things a good night’s sleep will do for you.

1. Take care of your figure

According to scientists, the dream figure has never been closer to us than it is now. We are only one step away from perfection and that is a good night’s sleep. According to studies, lack of sleep significantly slows down the metabolism and thus makes us gain weight. Studies also show that long sound sleep boosts metabolic processes to very high levels.

2. Helps with good concentration

According to research, at least half of people say that after a bad night’s sleep they have difficulty making decisions. This is quite disturbing because about ⅓ of all people complain of very bad and insufficient sleep.

3. Brings a good mood

A good sleep fills us with strength and a good mood. After a good night’s sleep, we wake up refreshed and ready to conquer the world. We deal more easily with problems and cares and meet challenges with confidence.

4. Makes us sexier

According to a study in a British medical journal, people who get enough sleep are rated as sexier and have a healthier appearance. They used photos of 23 people from a magazine – some of them were of people who complained of lack of sleep, and the other part of people who said that they slept very well and for more than eight hours. The result was astonishing. Those asked unmistakably pointed to the photos of those who slept better and said they definitely looked sexier.

5. It helps us make better and wiser decisions

You’ve probably heard the saying “leave that decision for tomorrow, you’ll think better in the morning”. This is because good sleep helps the brain to function more properly. In fact, even when you’re asleep, the brain is still hard at work searching for a solution, and it’s actually quite good at it. Even if you don’t wake up with a solution to your problems, a good night’s sleep will get you closer to it.

6. Extends life

People who regularly lack sleep live less than those who get a good night’s sleep. The reason for this is not clear and it is not known for sure whether the cause is the sleep itself or simply people who do not get enough sleep get sick more. However, the result is clear – people who sleep less than six hours a night evening, are significantly more at risk of premature death compared to the rest.

7. It helps us win

Several athletes were subjected to an interesting experiment. They were asked to sleep at least 10 hours a night for 6 weeks. The result was that the athletes significantly improved their performance. They became much faster, more durable and had much better reactions.

8. Reduces the risk of disease

Lack of sleep suppresses the immune system and makes people more susceptible to disease. It has been proven that people who sleep less than 7 hours a night get colds much more often.

9. Improves memory

During sleep, the brain “travels” from memory to memory and makes sense of all our impressions from the past day. It processes them and archives them. A study shows that when testing memory and mental abilities, people who sleep less than 6 hours a day for at least 2 weeks perform significantly worse than those who get enough sleep.

10. Helps for better sex

The more rested you are, the better sex you will have. According to studies in some western countries, between 20 and 30 percent of people have problems with their partners just because they don’t sleep well and it ruins their sex life.

So if you want to be in better shape in bed, start with the mandatory 8 hours of sleep a night in a quiet, peaceful and well-ventilated room.
