Does Viagra prevent the development of cancer?
Most of us already know that the drug “Viagra” is actually a preparation for the treatment of certain cardiovascular diseases. However, not everyone knows that someone’s life can depend on Viagra.
For example, in England, a young child suffering from a rare heart pathology needs to be 5 years old to be allowed to take this drug, which is crucial to his survival. But that’s not all.
It turns out that scientists recently made a new and shocking discovery – “Viagra” increases the body’s immunity, which in turn helps fight against malignant cells.
These results were obtained back in 2006, but they received official confirmation about 2 years ago.
In 2006, during a study conducted in a research laboratory in the USA, scientists were able to establish that Viagra is an active stimulant not only for the male reproductive system, but also for T -lymphocytes in the blood.
These cells are essential for the formation of the immune response, thanks to which the mutant cells appearing in the human body are destroyed. The more active the lymphocytes are, the lower the risk of cancer.
Identical results were obtained recently in another research institute – the Center for Combating Oncological Pathologies, located in the city of Heidelberg, Germany. German doctors conducted a series of experiments on laboratory rodents, and managed to prove again that Viagra not only cures, but also prolongs life.
The experiment consisted of the following. In laboratory-bred genetically modified white mice, into whose genome the gene for the increased susceptibility to skin cancer /melanoma/ was introduced. The rodents were then divided into two separate cages.
Those in the first cell were not given any anti-cancer drugs, but only small doses of Viagra mixed with water, and the mice in the second control group were not given this drug.
Subsequently, it turned out that the mice addicted to Viagra lived 2 times longer than their unfortunate counterparts, who were not given this preparation.
According to the obtained data, the scientists from the University of Heidelberg published their findings, which indicate that Viagra is undoubtedly a strong immunostimulator, which is the cause of the increased activity of T-lymphocytes in the blood.
These immune cells fight against dangerous diseases around the clock. In addition, the preparation also increases the effectiveness of some antitumor medications, whose mechanism of action is anyway related to the activation and acceleration of reproduction of the body’s own T-lymphocytes.
Scientists hope that other positive effects of taking the blue pills will soon be identified. According to them, Viagra and its generics are a real storehouse of surprises.
