8 Natural Headache Remedies

If you work late or are in front of the computer all day, headache is probably your frequent companion.

Adding stress, tension, worries at home and at work, the reasons for a headache are many.

But don’t be in a hurry to reach for the medicine right away. There are enough natural remedies that can relieve headache almost immediately.

1. Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy preparations vary widely, but some of the most commonly used essential oils for headache treatment include lavender, sweet oregano, and chamomile.

Use to massage the neck, during a bath, or inhale them. Mix five drops of rosemary oil, five drops of nutmeg oil and five drops of lavender oil. Massage the neck and upper back.

2. Ginger

Along with apples, you can also use apple cider vinegar for headache treatment. Fill a large bowl with hot water and add three to four tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to it.

Now place a towel over your head and inhale the steam for ten to fifteen minutes. Another option is to add some apple cider vinegar to a glass full of water and drink it 2-3 times a day to relieve headaches.

4. Almonds

Almonds contain pain-relieving chemicals that can reduce headache symptoms in 10-15 minutes. A handful of almonds is always a handy natural substitute for any pain reliever.

5. Hot red pepper

Another endorphin release stimulant that will help relieve headaches. It is known that even the worst headache can be cured by consumption or topical application of cayenne pepper. Some ointments contain an extract of the plant.

6. Mint

Mint has sedative properties that can help treat headaches. You can make an herbal tea by adding a teaspoon of dried mint to a cup of hot boiling water.

Cover and let it soak for ten minutes, then strain it and add a little honey. Sip slowly. You can use peppermint oil to gently massage the temples, jawline and back of the neck.

7. Eucalyptus oil

Eucalyptus oil has pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. To get the fastest relief, you should use eucalyptus oil to massage the forehead and temples for fifteen to twenty minutes.

The oil provides a soothing effect. At the same time, it will help relieve tense muscles around the head. Along with eucalyptus oil, you can apply coconut or almond oils for forehead massage to get rid of the headache.

8. Cinnamon

Cinnamon is another herb that can effectively treat headaches. Take cinnamon powder, or grind your own cinnamon sticks. Add some water to this powder to make a thick paste and apply it on your forehead and temples.

Lie down for half an hour. You will get relief soon. Then wash your forehead with lukewarm water. This medicine is useful in headache caused by exposure to wind and cold.
