Why are carbohydrates more dangerous than fats?

Scientists from Ohio State University, USA, have proven that consuming excessive amounts of carbohydrates is more dangerous for the body than excessive fat.

Although nutritionists do not recommend completely giving up the consumption of foods rich in carbohydrates, it is desirable to reduce their amount in our diet.

A large amount of carbohydrates harms the body more than an excess of fatty foods. This discovery was made by American scientists from Ohio State University, USA.

Until now, most people, as well as the scientific community, believed that fats could harm health more than carbohydrates, but this finding needs to be reconsidered.

During the study, the scientists found that the consumption of fatty foods than the consumption of those containing huge amounts of carbohydrates.

This sensational scientific discovery caused a serious public response. It turns out that diabetes and cardiovascular disease are the “cause” of the carbohydrate foods that dominate most people’s diets.

All people who are concerned about their figure, as well as the rest, know that the cause of these diseases are foods containing large amounts of fat. First of all, these are, of course, palm and coconut butter, meat products – sausages, bacon and all kinds of steaks saturated with too much fat.

Then there are the so-called confectionery or “sweets” – candies, chocolates, cakes, biscuits, sweet rolls sprinkled liberally with powdered sugar.

Well-known sources of fat are also the so-called “fast foods” or “fast food”. As you can see, many of our usual foods are not safe for our body.

What is the reason why fats are dangerous?

They can become the cause of metabolic disorders and subsequently obesity and increased cholesterol levels.

But after the discovery of the American scientists, we have to be careful with the consumption of completely different foods, namely those that contain large amounts of carbohydrates such as white bread, rice, cereals and pasta and etc.

These foods also contribute to weight gain. Refusal of these foods may favor weight loss, but American scientists do not deny that the above products are necessary for life.

For this reason, experts emphasize that the amount of carbohydrates should not exceed 1/3 of the entire daily food intake.

Nutritionists also do not recommend giving up food sources of carbohydrates completely, as this is life-threatening, but simply not consuming them in excessive amounts.
