Lose weight with Bulgarian cuisine

Very often we start following diets and looking for ways to lose weight in foreign traditions without thinking that Bulgarian cuisine is one of the healthiest in the world, as long as we stick to tradition.

Actually, Bulgarian cuisine has gathered a lot of wealth in itself, as long as we are willing to draw from its wisdom.

If we take a closer look at Bulgarian cuisine, we will notice that it is actually a very effective diet, which with the appropriate physical activity will turn you into a person with the body of a Hollywood celebrity.

Shop salad – salads, and in particular Shop salad, have been a very important part of the traditional Bulgarian diet for centuries.

If we keep this tradition these days and eat a plate of traditional Shop salad with cucumber, tomato, onion and a little cheese, then losing weight is one big step closer.

No one is forcing you to starve, you just have to start lunch and dinner with such a salad. The bigger, the more vitamins you will absorb and less fat afterwards.

The pulse. Pulses have been the most important part of the Bulgarian diet throughout the centuries. Everyone knows those Bulgarian stories in which the pot of beans quietly simmers on the fire.

Include them in your menu on a daily basis and you will discover how tasty and filling they are. Beans, peas and lentils contain a large amount of protein, which is the building material that builds the human body. p>

Besides, legumes are one of the lowest fat protein foods and can help you lose weight significantly, of course if you eat them often enough.

If you go to the gym or do some kind of sport, legumes will help you build a tighter silhouette with better muscles.

Yogurt is one of the foods that are present on the Bulgarian table almost every day. This is a great way to lose a few extra pounds if we include it more often in the diet. If you want to lose weight with traditional Bulgarian cuisine, then this is one of the mandatory foods.

Tarator – (yoghurt is present here again) is one of the best foods especially in summer. Lots of liquids, proteins from milk, vitamins from cucumbers and garlic, aromatic spices.

Also called “summer soup”, it can be included in the menu every day and you will see that the results will not be late.

The tarator is very low in calories, but on the other hand, it tones and satiates. A full bowl of tarator will make you less likely to eat something that isn’t worth it.

Cabbage – it is undoubtedly one of the treasures of Bulgarian cuisine.

Whether you eat cabbage with beans, cabbage rolls or lean cabbage in the oven, it will fill you with a huge amount of valuable nutrients, and at the same time it is very low in calories. Cabbage is considered one of the foods that take more calories while digesting than you take in from it.

Bread – Bulgarian cuisine is traditionally associated with bread, but let’s say that the bread that we put on the table today is quite different from the one that people ate once upon a time.

Yeast, rye and other dark varieties of bread were an integral part of the daily diet, but the white bread that is sold in the shops these days and that stretches like a rubber band is a modern novelty , which is good to avoid.

Meat – is traditionally present in Bulgarian cuisine much less often than you can imagine.

People served meat on the table relatively rarely, and mostly when there was an occasion for it. Today however, we are used to eating meat products all the time. If we stick to tradition and reduce meat to, say, once a week, it will be a completely different thing and we will get much more benefits from it, than disadvantages.
